Vanguard Collective
Time is the one resource every engineering team is short of. Vanguard Collective gives it back — by letting a small team direct AI coding agents through days of work, with proof of every step and a human only where a human belongs.
Every organisation we work with has the same shortage. Not ideas, not models, not even budget — **time and attention**. The backlog is long, the people who understand the business are few, and the people who can turn that understanding into working software are fewer still.
AI coding agents promise to change that, and in short bursts they already do. Left to run for a day, though, a single agent drifts, forgets what was decided, and reports success it cannot prove. Someone still has to read every commit. That someone is the bottleneck we set out to remove.
Three ways to run it
-
Local Orchestrator Mode — a person holds the orchestrator seat with an AI thinking partner; every dispatch is reviewed before it runs. The on-ramp for a first mission or a sensitive codebase. Available in 1.0.0.
-
Local Autonomous Mode — an agent holds the orchestrator seat on your workstation; you hold the gates. Days of autonomy between decisions. Available in 1.0.0 — the mode in production today.
-
Hosted Autonomous Mode — cloud substrate, many missions, a Mission Control inbox. Roadmap (2.0), sequenced after the local modes have proven the evidence layer.
Teams move between modes one reversible step at a time, from “a human runs everything” to “a human acts only at the gates”. Trust is earned cycle by cycle, and the record shows it.
Proven on a real product:
Vanguard Collective was not built in a lab. Its first production deployment was techSCOUT, a carrier-onboarding intelligence platform built for a client in the logistics domain. Across nine delivery cycles, the framework shipped every milestone, raised the product’s automated test floor at every close, and cut the operator’s effort per cycle by more than half.
techSCOUT is also the framework’s first "customer": when Vanguard Collective was lifted out into its own product, techSCOUT was upgraded through the same installer every customer uses — 0.1 → 0.2 → 0.3 → 1.0 — with its full regression reading equal to baseline every time. We continue to improve the framework while having expanded its use across other projects in our pipeline.
